Kids Community

Our Father in Heaven, Holy is Your Name

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven,

Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, now and forever.

Amen.

Kids at the Table

At the Table, we see children as a vital part of the Kingdom of God. We want worship to be accessible and participatory for all kids.

We provide opportunities for children in the weekly liturgy, from lighting the Christ candle at the beginning of worship with their family, to scripture reading, and the weekly leading of the Lord’s Prayer by (you guessed it), our kids.

Each week during the sermon, children 0-Kindergarden can participate in kids community and join in again during singing, but we also foster an environment where it’s ok if a kid stays in service. We want them to learn the rhythms of church just like their parents. Noisy kid? That’s ok, church is a family, not a show.

Have a Question?

Who are your kid leaders?

Leaders are members of the Table church who have been background checked and received training for leading kids in a safe manner during the sermon.

What if my kid is nervous about going to class on our first visit?

Totally fine! There is no expectation that your child has to go to kids community time. In fact, we love to have children joining and participating in the whole service!

What do you teach kids during kids community?

We want teaching to kids to be a supplement of what YOU are doing at home. Currently, we use the New City Catechism for kids, which incorporates question and answer, memorization, singing, and most importantly, conversations about God and His world. You can find New City Catechism resources for your own family training here.
