What We Believe

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Multiple Forms of Unity

At the Table, our goal is to call our members into ever deeper devotion to God through His Word, while extending the warmth of brotherhood to all who have placed their faith in Christ, and rich hospitality to those who are outside of the church.

To Attend: No prerequisite

A church’s gathering on the Lord’s Day (Sunday), is akin to the contraction of lungs preparing to take another breath. When we gather, this is our communal breathing in and out, aligning ourselves with God’s pattern for rest and covenant renewal worship. We do this as a church every week, and you are welcome to observe regardless of your belief. You will be witnessing the people of God worshipping their King.

Full Participation: Apostle’s Creed

If you are planning on taking communion at the Table, you may without being a member, but we ask that you examine yourself (1 Corinthians 11:28) and be able to affirm the Apostle’s Creed, the early church’s synthesis of what constitutes true and orthodox belief.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

What’s the New Humanity?

You’ll hear this phrase sometimes at the Table. Jesus gives us a new and better way to be human. Christ’s church is a multi-national, multi-cultural nation of men and women who have been set apart to be holy. They are bound and united to each other through space and time by the Holy Spirit, and share Christ as their head. Jesus invites all who have ears to hear to be members of this covenant community, the church, a new way to be human.
